Established in 1997 to spearhead the writing of the NGO alternative report to UN Committee of Experts on the Rights of the Child (CRC), UCRNN has over the years expanded its membership and programs for the benefit of children. UCRNN’s current programs include
1. Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of national, regional, and international child rights instruments
2. Collective Advocacy on key child rights concerns and issues
3. Promoting the understanding of application of the child rights principles and standards
4. Knowledge generation for evidence based Advocacy
